The 1988 vintage was marked by a mild winter and a wet spring. The summer was hot and dry, with ideal conditions for ripening the grapes. Harvesting took place between September 25 and October 10.
The wine is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. It was aged for 18 months in new barrels (50%).
