The 1986 vintage was marked by a mild winter and a wet spring. The summer was hot and dry, with ideal conditions for ripening the grapes. Harvesting took place between September 25 and October 10.
The wine is a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc from vines located in the commune of Pomerol. It was aged for 18 months in oak barrels.
Colour: Intense garnet-red with tile-like highlights
Nose: Complex, intense aromas of red fruits (cherry, raspberry), black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), spices (vanilla, black pepper), tobacco and leather.
Palate: A powerful, full-bodied wine with good acidity and a long, persistent finish.
