The 1983 vintage was marked by a cold winter and a wet spring. However, the summer was hot and dry, allowing the grapes to ripen perfectly. Harvesting took place between September 25 and October 10.
The wine is a blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc. It was aged for 18 months in new barrels (60%).
