The 1997 vintage was marked by a mild winter and a wet spring. The summer was hot and dry, with ideal conditions for ripening the grapes. Harvesting took place between September 25 and October 10.
The wine is a 100% Poulsard from vines located in the commune of Arbois. It was aged for 18 months in oak barrels.
Colour: Intense ruby red with garnet highlights
Nose: Complex, intense aromas of red berries, spices, wild flowers and undergrowth.
Palate: A powerful, full-bodied wine with good acidity and a long, persistent finish.

Pierre Overnoy is a 12-hectare family winery located in Arbois, in the
Jura region of France. Its history dates back to the 16th century, and today it is one of the most prestigious estates in the Jura.
The vineyards are planted on clay-limestone and marl soils, and benefit from a microclimate that is ideal for growing vines. The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully vinified in the estate's own winery.
